Pastor Haywood & District Missionary Bettye Henderson, Jr.

The Gospel Lighthouse Church of God in Christ (GLH) is under the leadership of Pastor Haywood Henderson, Jr. who was a

former college basketball star who earned the name, "Hollywood Henderson". While in college, he was in a car wreck which almost took his life. Supt. Noble and his wife prayed for him at the hospital. When he was released from the hospital, he began seeking salvation. While seeking for salvation, he found his wife, District Missionary Bettye (Cooper) Henderson, the daughter of The Late Supt. Noble L & District Missionary Dorphine (Byrd) Cooper.

Together, the Hendersons have been great leaders at The Gospel Lighthouse Church taking it to new heights and greater depths in the Spirit through the years with their strong faith, spiritual wisdom and enduring love. They continue to uphold the holy, sacred standards, doctrines and ordinances of the Church of God in Christ with loyal dedication. They've given their lives fully to the cause of Christ and His kingdom. The Hendersons pursue their life's purpose in line with the divine will of the Father and encourage others to do the same.
